Nash Vandayar is a South African attorney — but the law is only part of who he is.
For close to thirty years he has dealt with people at some of the most difficult moments of their lives, watching from inside courtrooms what human beings are capable of doing to one another. Outside the law, music has always been a major part of his life. So have animals, and trying, wherever he can, to do something positive for somebody else.
He describes himself as naturally sceptical — legal training that taught him to question things, look for evidence, and consider alternative explanations. That scepticism is central to understanding Blue Angel, because the experiences behind the book challenged some of his own assumptions about life.
Blue Angel Management was born out of a period of enormous change.
Nash had experienced what he regarded as the pinnacle of personal and professional success — only to discover that reaching it did not bring what he had imagined it would. He became disillusioned by success itself, while dealing with the very real stresses of life.
Music had always been an obsession, but during this period it became something more: a creative escape from a life dominated by law, responsibility and stress. Seeing Prince and Santana live re-ignited that part of him and set in motion a chain of decisions and experiences that would eventually become Blue Angel.
"Blue Angel did not begin as a calculated business idea. It emerged from a combination of stress, disillusionment, music, and an experience that made me want to take my life in a completely different direction."
What began as a way to use live music and shared experience to connect people took him somewhere far more introspective and personal — a direction that ultimately led to the story in the book.
Thirty years spent testing what people tell you is true.
Nash does not claim professional authority over spirituality or unexplained phenomena — that would contradict what the book is about. What he does bring is decades of experience analysing evidence, testing versions, and remaining sceptical of claims that cannot be supported.
His legal practice has acted in matters involving individuals, businesses, municipalities, educational institutions, and major organisations across substantial litigation and criminal-law work, alongside a number of charity-driven projects.

Blue Angel was never meant to be one book.
The underlying idea is compassion translated into action. Nash sees Blue Angel becoming a well-known and successful brand — but one where that success is used for something worthwhile, in a world that often feels increasingly disconnected.
Music was the creative spark that began the journey. Blue Angel's wider purpose is to keep that same creative impulse alive — through original creative events of compassion translated into action.
Read the story. Look at what happened. Make up your own mind.
"My personal experience has taught me that there are some things that are unexplainable. My investigations into those experiences have taught me that there is a real connecting power out there — and that power is for the good. I don't expect you to accept that simply because I say so."
